We’re entering into a season where the words of the Christmas story will be plastered all over the place—stores, front yards, doorways, and even schools—but with no intentional link to the true Christmas story…no understanding that things like joy, peace, and love can actually be ours in abundance, and in a way that doesn’t depend on our circumstances.
One of the ways my husband and I have tried to battle this over the years was by trying, even if in very small ways, to make Christmas about something other than getting, and it’s easier to do than you might think. When our boys were little we loved combing through the Samaritan’s Purse Christmas Gift Catalog to pick at least one small way we could make a difference in the life of someone less fortunate.
Tune in today to hear my interview with Kristy Graham, Franklin Graham’s daughter-n-law, and the host of On the Ground with Samaritan’s Purse, and get your family engaged in our Million Praying Moms Christmas challenge to feed 100 hungry babies in the month of December. It only costs $9 to feed one baby (so if you’re able, feed more than one!) so please jump in and help us reach this important goal now! My family has kicked things off by feeding 10 ourselves. Help us reach our goal of 100 now, and tune in to the podcast here!
