I’m absolutely convinced that the only way to be victorious over the weariness motherhood naturally brings is to spend intentional time in the Word of God.
Raise your hand if you need some victory in this area now more than ever before?
Maybe you’ve tried spending time in your Bible every day with little to show for it. Maybe, like me, you’ve read a passage of the Bible and thought, “I just don’t know how this applies to my life right now.” Or maybe, when you’re in the thick of doing school at home, unpaid bills, worries over health, tantrums, food battles, and raging hormones, you’ve just struggled to be in a place where you can even feel close to God, much less understand his word.
If there’s one thing I know about you, mama, it’s that you need hope.
You need it like you need air to breathe, but if you can’t open God’s word and find it within 30 seconds, it’s going to be hard to come by.
What you really need is a resource designed just for you…something that will help God’s truth intersect with the daily reality of a weary mom’s life. Something that will get you in the Word of God regularly, but in a way that makes sense to you and meets you smack in the mess of your own motherhood place.
Listen, friends. We know things are tough right now. Here in Virginia, and across the world, people are suffering. I can’t even begin to get my mind wrapped around how this quarantine is going impact businesses I know and love, families trying to pay the bills, teachers looking at an entirely different 2020/2021 school year (and maybe beyond) than they had planned for. This is hard. On everyone.
But as believers, we still have hope.
Join us for the next 40 days to remember yours. We start together May 4, 2020.
Dig in to the Word of God and see if it doesn’t change the way you see what’s happening around you…in the world and in your home.

This 40-day challenge is based on the Hope for the Weary Mom 40-Day Devotional. It’s the main resource we’ll use as we go through the challenge, and is specifically designed to meet you right in the midst of your messy motherhood places. You’ll use it as the jumping off place to get you in God’s Word each day. We recommend getting an e-version of the book for the purposes of this challenge, so you can get started right away, and because there’s no promise that physical copies will arrive in a timely manner during this season.
NOTE: Your experience of Start with Hope will be greatly enhanced with this book as your guide, but the emails you’ll receive each morning can stand alone if you’re not in the financial place to purchase a book.
Simply enter your email address in the box below, then click “subscribe.”
Don’t forget this part as it’s the only way we have to communicate with everyone and make sure you get all the details you need for the pledge!
Once you’ve signed up, you should immediately receive your Day One email, so watch for that. We’re so excited about the possible implications of this journey together, friends!
Really going through a rough season with one of my adult children and could use some encouragement, wisdom and prayer.
Thank you!
Would anyone add any specific suggestions for when it’s your last baby?
What do you mean by: Ask about announcements every day.
Is this graduation announcements and what is your suggestion here?
Thanks for asking! I mean announcements from the school that get shared at the beginning and ending of each day 🙂
