THIS MONTH’S PRAYER GUIDE: Praying God’s Word for Your Blended Family.
How does divorce, or the loss of a parent figure impact our kids?
There is no doubt that it does. Often, mistakenly, parents leave their children to navigate their feelings alone. Depending on their age, children may not have the ability to absorb or understand everything that’s changing in their world…they just know things are not the same. The safe space they once felt is different now.
On today’s episode, Connie Albers joins us to talk about her experience of going through a divorce as a young child, and some of the feelings and emotions she felt as she watched her parents make decisions that concerned her without explaining them to her, and the impact it had on her childhood. She offers suggestions for making this time of transition as easy as possible on young children so that they have the healthiest experience possible.
Don’t miss this episode. Even if you aren’t a blended family, you know one. Take the time to understand them better when you tune in now!
