Sometimes, prayer really is all we can do.
But that knowledge should fill us with peace, hope, and renewed strength…not depression or desperation. Let’s change the way we think about prayer. We have access to the God Who can! It’s something we GET to do! It’s the privilege and right of believers to ask God to act, when others must rely only on their own strength.
Maybe you’ve experienced a heartbreak, challenge, or diagnosis that you literally have no power to change. Maybe there’s a relationship you can’t fix and that knowledge makes you feel sad and powerless.
Lift up your head.
As a believer, a child of God, prayer may actually be the only thing we can do in certain situations, but we have a hope unbelievers do not. Even when you feel like there’s nothing more to be done…nothing more you can do to fix the hurts in your life, you are not without strategy. God has given you access to Himself. And while He might not choose to fix it immediately, or in the way you desire, there is always hope when you partner with Him.
Lift up your head!
