APPLE PODCASTS † SPOTIFY
Fear of failure still tempts me and drives me hard. I want my grown-up girls to think I’m the best mom in the world, and I want you to think that too. The pressure to perform remains a constant pull in my life. I hate having to admit when I fail. As a result, I have to intentionally position myself to receive grace. Sometimes this involves me sitting on the floor with my head bowed and my hands open asking God to pour into me what only he can and admitting to him that I’ve messed up again. And other times, it starts with accepting the reality that I’m not going to get anything right, especially mothering 100% of the time. God’s grace doesn’t require my perfection. He has that covered already through Jesus.
