In that season, I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life. My original plan had been to go straight from college to seminary. With a forthcoming degree in psychology, I found myself wanting to know more about what God’s word had to say about the human heart and mind. So it seemed logical that seminary was the right place to go next. I remember praying, “Lord, show me the right path. Show me where to go. I want to walk beside you, not in front of or behind you. Help me hear your voice and follow your leading for today.”
Today’s devotion and prayer is taken from Brooke McGlothlin’s book, Everyday Prayers for Patience: Give Yourself and Your Kids the Grace to Grow.
