With each day that passes, I’m more convinced I have absolutely no power to change the hearts of my boys. Oh, I can change their behavior if I try hard enough. Anybody can do that. But I know that what’s in the heart eventually comes out. I know that if their knees are ever to bend to Jesus as savior, their hearts must bend first. And that’s God’s business. I’m praying you’ll grasp this concept so clearly that it will bring you strength and peace in the midst of your wildest storms. You can’t change the heart of your boys. You can’t. Period. It’s not your job. ~ Brooke McGlothlin
Today’s prayer is based on Ezekiel 36:26, Isaiah 29:13, James 4:8, Psalm 51:10, Ecclesiastes 10:2, and Matthew 23:26. Today’s devotion is adapted from the book, Praying for Boys: Asking God for the Things They Need Most, by Brooke McGlothlin, and used with permission from Bethany House, a division of Baker Publishing Group, 2014.

I am loving and very appreciative that God allowed me to cross the path of Million Praying Moms. I have a little bit of a drive to work so I often listen to the episodes as I drive. It has surely been a blessing and inspiration.
