In our home, Numbers 6:24-26 is known as the “special prayer.” It’s been the passage I pray over our children every night before they go to sleep. I think part of the reason I like to pray this passage so much and possibly why I choose to pray scripture most of the time is because I’m so keenly aware of my lack. I know better than anyone how short I fall as a mom, wife, and child of God. If I made a list of all my weaknesses, I’d never get done. And I’m aware that this lack in me directly affects my children.
Today’s devotion and prayer is taken from Brooke McGlothlin’s book, Everyday Prayers for Peace: A 30-Day Devotional & Reflective Journal for Women.
