APPLE PODCASTS † SPOTIFY
Everything felt overwhelming in our new town and new school. Unfamiliar faces all day, a school building I didn’t know my way around and no one I could call my friend, all made me desperately homesick. At the end of my first day, I fell into my mom’s familiar arms and the tears poured down my cheeks. My mother was my refuge and comfort from the overwhelming heartache I was experiencing. I was grateful her arms were home and my shelter no matter where I was. Psalm 46:1 gives us wonderful news that God is our refuge and strength and a very present help in trouble.
