APPLE PODCASTS † SPOTIFY
I still remember where I was sitting on the couch that day. I was nestled in the middle of my two brothers when my mom and dad told us they were getting a divorce. I was eight years old and in second grade. It was evident their marriage was over before they had spoken the words. However, once they told us that that made it official. Life as I knew it, as a family of five, had ended. Decisions like divorce are difficult for everyone involved. Honestly, even 30 years later, their choice still occasionally triggers old wounds. And as challenging as this circumstance has been and likely will continue to be, the older I get, the more compassion I have for my mom and dad.
