A Prayer for Good Influences in our Kids’ Lives

We know that laws govern our natural world, the laws of gravity, relativity, and inertia, to name a few. Sometimes they work in your favor, like when gravity allows you to go for a walk without floating out into the atmosphere. Other times, gravity is a bummer, like when you drop your brand new cell phone on a gravel road, speaking from experience here. When it comes to our human nature, we must also live by certain laws to experience a good life, like it or not. The principle of influence, just like the influence of the laws of nature, is not up for debate. It’s part of our human nature.

Today’s devotion and prayer is inspired by the book, Raising Amazing: Bringing Up Kids Who Love God, Like their Family, and Do the Dishes, by Monica Swanson.
