When we realize the goodness of God, we get a glimpse of how human we are. Knowing our humanity, it’s hard to imagine ourselves as able to please God. This verse is encouraging because it reminds us that we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel. With the foundation of God’s approval, and with the gospel He has entrusted us with, we have the power to live in a way that pleases Him.
