A Prayer for When You’re Desperate

As mothers, we often face moments when the weight of responsibility and heartbreak feels too much to bear. Perhaps it’s the sleepless nights, the constant demands of parenting, or the deep ache of watching your child struggle. Then there are those unexpected moments when life completely unravels—a diagnosis, a loss, or a crisis that brings you to your knees. In those times, we don’t always have the strength to form long prayers, or any prayers at all. Sometimes, all we can manage is a desperate “Help.” And I’ve learned that that is more than enough.

Today’s devotion and prayer is inspired by the book, Desperate Prayers: Embracing the Power of Prayer in Life’s Darkest Moments, by Rachel Wojo.
