I’ve struggled for years with the sovereignty of God. I believe God is over all and in all and in control of all, yet I also believe He gives us free will. I once heard a pastor explain these two apparently contradictory theologies as being the twin towers of Scripture. They’re both there. From that solid yet confusing explanation, I take this truth: There are going to be some things I will never understand fully this side of heaven. That’s why it’s called faith.
Today’s devotion and prayer is taken from Brooke McGlothlin’s book, Praying Mom: Making Prayer the First and Best Response to Motherhood.
