To preserve something means to safeguard, look after, protect, or maintain. The book of Jude tell us that not only are we set apart for God’s purposes, called by the gospel to trust in Jesus for salvation and loved by the Father, we are also kept by God for his own glory. We can count on being kept and receiving mercy, peace, and love because God can be counted on to glorify Himself.
Today’s devotion and prayer is based on Jude 1:1-2, and excerpted from Brooke McGlothlin’s book, Everyday Prayers for Peace: A 30-Day Devotional & Reflective Journal for Women.
