Invocation is a monthly feature at Million Praying Moms for the purpose of starting each month with a prayerful focus. In case you aren’t familiar with the term, an “invocation” is simply a prayer that introduces something…most often a sermon, or beginning of some kind of service. My husband and I had an invocation at the beginning of our wedding ceremony. On the first of each month, I’ll send out an Invocation Email that shares a personal devotion about events in my own life, events at Million Praying Moms you won’t want to miss, and other items you’ll find interesting. I’ll then point you back here, to the MPM website, where I’ll share an Invocational Prayer. I hope you’ll sign up here to make sure you get the Invocation email every month. July Invocation
Father,
Help us to walk in truth, abiding in You. Keep us in the light, and give us fellowship one with another. Help us to demonstrate to the watching world that we belong to You as we keep Your commands, and walk as You walked. When we stumble, help us remember that we have an Advocate with You, Jesus the Christ. May we turn to Him, confessing our sins, knowing You’ll be faithful and just to forgive and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Give us discernment to know what’s of You and what is not, and help us to love not just in word or talk, but in deed and truth.
