10 Things to Know About Hope, Part 2

APPLE PODCASTS    †     SPOTIFY

Hope is a person. For a long time, I thought hope was a feeling. I thought it was a theoretical idea I was reaching for. But if we’re just looking for that feeling in and of itself, we’re going to fall short because our circumstances will dictate the amount of hope we have. Hope, though, isn’t a feeling. It isn’t some unobtainable concept in the clouds. Hope is not a wish or a magical sprinkle of fairy dust. Hope is a person who will walk with you and never leave you alone. We can trust Him with our weariness. He will carry the burdens for us. In Christ, our hope is rooted in the word of God. That never changes. We can hold on to hope because hope is Jesus.
