A Prayer for Being Committed to Christ

APPLE PODCASTS    †     SPOTIFY

There’s something about the written word, isn’t there? Something about being able to hold a slip of paper or a card with someone’s handwriting, with the words they’ve thought about and inscribed just for you. I think that’s part of why, as much as I use the Bible apps for study, I have to have that Bible I can hold and flip pages in for my quiet times and in church. I love to run my fingers over the words in THE word as they are read aloud in church. But the Bible is so much more than a sentimental piece of memorabilia—it’s the living and active word of God.

How committed are you to the word? How much time have you invested in study, memorization, and meditation? How integral are these practices to your spiritual life? Listen to today’s podcast with Teri Lynne Underwood, based on Matthew 4:3-4 here!
